The new inlet screens had to be installed in and around the existing equipment to ensure the process was not jeopardised. This required the installation to be designed to suit the small space available.
The whole inlet flow required over pumping – this needed a bespoke solution of utilising temporary settling tanks and large diesel driven pump sets to cope with the demand. A specifically designed scaffold platform had to be installed at the correct height to enable gravity feed from the tanks into the works
A full control philosophy was implemented including control systems and SCADA modfications
